Summer Mission success

Updated: Jan 25, 2022

And breathe!

It’s been a busy few months for Bioasis Mission Control.

Spring and early summer saw the Advanced Expedition Team hard at work building a semi-permanent basecamp for the summer. Then, in August, the team finally welcomed our first student mission teams into The Bioasis.

Groups undertook missions on water and land, learnt new skills, conducted conservation work and environment clean up operations. The highlights were many, and to the surprise of most young people, they thoroughly enjoyed being out of mobile contact, having left their devices at The Bioasis perimeter.

Direction, mission updates and safety information was provided by means of secure radio communications from Mission Control.

Fast forward to September and Yarnin Fort Basecamp is currently being dismantled, packed down and relocated to a more sheltered area of The Bioasis in preparation for winter.

We already have mission teams booked for summer 2022, operational planning for which will start in the next few weeks.

With limited spaces available, if you are interested in rewilding a group of your students on a unique UK school trip, then get in touch.

Below are a few images from the inaugural summer...
