Welcome to Our World
Space to think differently
Away from the every day, The Bioasis is a wild landscape that encourages energy, ideas & innovation to flourish. For change to take root.

the landscape
The Bioasis is hidden in a unique corner of the South West, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows line the winding river, which flows out through salt marshes and a remote estuary to the waiting sea.
It's a 1,200 acre living breathing landscape for you to re-connect, thrive, grow and look to the future.
the journey
Leaving vehicles behind and setting off on foot, you'll be immersed in nature for the duration of your stay. Off-grid, away from mobiles and mirrors, surrounded by biodiversity, sunsets and stars, the multi-day immersive nature of our programmes is a transformational experience.
Whether you're a school or a business, we've got a selection of brilliant & bespoke programmes.

the basecamps
Our low-impact, solar powered basecamps offer comfortable communal living, fresh-cooked organic food, firepits, composting toilets and hot showers. Where remoteness, adventure and comfort meet.
Think full field kitchens, organic, seasonal meals sourced from Riverford Organics, comfy camp beds and open fires under the night sky.
All the while, surrounded by wildlife and wildflowers, silence and stars.
Our three main camps are:
Holbe Meadow Camp - lies to the west of the estuary, tucked away between a beautiful wildflower meadow and ancient woodland. The bird life, bees and bats here are magical, as are the stars at night.
Yarnin Fort Camp - is situated at almost the highest point in The Bioasis, in a wildflower meadow, and has commanding views across the valley and down to the estuary. Witnessing dawn here is truly special.
Orche Camp - is hidden at the very heart of The Bioasis and surrounded by ancient forest. It’s secluded, atmospheric and a real gem of a location.
The wildlife
The Bioasis is home to a diverse range of wildlife, supported by a mix of habitats including wetlands, woodlands and meadows. Birds, mammals, insects, and reptiles thrive in this wildlife haven, which also provides a refuge for several endangered species.
We work with a diverse range of partners to ensure we look after this very special place, reflecting a commitment to conservation, and a practical, real-world example of how ecosystems, farms, businesses and nature can be restored and flourish side by side.
